Welcome

I write page-turning vacation reads about relationships and what happens when life gets messy. I write the sort of books that I’d want to tuck into my carry-on, stay up late at night to finish, then pass along to a friend.

When I’m not writing fiction, I’m a public health researcher, parent, and SUP enthusiast.

Bio

Genevieve Lyons wrote and illustrated her first book at the age of 6, and she’s pursued creative arts ever since. She has studied film photography and she considered a career in music performance, going so far as to pass conservatory-level music theory. Ultimately Genevieve was too extroverted to spend hours in tiny practice rooms. She enjoys seeing the connections between ideas, and making connections with others. Curiosity is a hallmark trait that drives both her interest in research and her in reading and writing.

Genevieve is an avid reader and asks almost everyone she meets, “have you read anything good lately?” She loves a good twisty thriller as much as a literary fiction and she’s unable to stop herself from reading whatever is trending.

Genevieve’s fiction is yet to be published, and she is seeking representation for a completed manuscript.

Her technical and scientific writing can be found in medical and public health journals such as Obstetrics and Gynecology, The Journal of Pediatrics, Clinical Cancer Research, and Journal of Advanced Nursing.

She is a member of the Women’s Fiction Writers Association and a local library Writers Critique Circle, where she holds the role of social chair. She lives in Virginia with her husband, children, three chickens, and a messy wildflower garden.
